                                            This Week

    It has been a crazy few weeks with setting up for our tournament and the other
    issues. The A team did well at Bay City two weeks ago finishing 5th and scoring a
    big win over a talented Howell team. The B team competed at a tough blue Water
    Classic tournament.

    Last weekend at the Dakota Wrestling Festival our A team finished 1st with a
    dominating performance and the B team finished 9th out of 12 teams. Dakota
    finished the tournament with Ryan Karam 125, Kenny Seelye 140, Alex
    Bozinovski 145, Josh Burnham 160 and Jessie Wasilewski 171/189 all
    undefeated.

    On Wednesday this week the A team wrapped up the MAC White with a 64-12
    victory over L'Anse Creuse North. Dakota went undefeated in the MAC White and
    beat every other team by 40 points or more. The MAC White individual
    tournament is scheduled for Feb 4th. I will post the location and information for
    this event as soon as it is confirmed.

    This Saturday the A team is traveling to Waterford Kettering HS to compte in the
    Oakland Macomb Duals. This tournament pits the top 10 teams from each county
    in a team tournament. For the second year in a row Dakota will be competing in
    the Gold Pool which consists of the top 5 teams in each county. The tournament
    starts at 9am and will be the toughest competition we have faced so far this year.

    The B team is competing on Saturday at the Fitzgerald Invitational at Warren
    Fitzgerald HS.

                                        Announcement

    On Wednesday, at the LCN meet, we had some parents that expressed their
    frustration with some referee calls is a way that did not represent Dakota
    Wrestling well. I need to remind all Dakota wrestling parents that your behavior
    not only reflects on the entire program, but can also adversely effect the team with
    penalties. The wrestlers, coaches and parents have worked too hard over the past
    few years to build a positive wrestling program at Dakota. We all need to stay
    under control at all times during these matches.

                                         Food Schedule

    Below is a link to the food schedule for the remainder of the season as well as a
    recipie for taco salad that is a favorite of the boys in previous years. This is Mr.
    Tilney's recipe and the boys love it.
